If you've just tried to checkout and you get an (admittedly often vague and confusing) error message, no confirmation email or don't hit our 'thank you' confirmation page? I'm afraid your order didn't complete. And you haven't been charged (don't worry!! We wouldn't do that you 'ya!)


More often than not the problem is that your BILLING card details don't make the details your bank have on file...usually the postcode, but could be the street number or even your name (some banks check more details than others) As a result? It was declined, preventing the order from completing at the final hurdle. :(


Bear in mind, whilst it's cool for your order to ship to a different address (a workplace or when sent as a gift, for example) the billing address (entered at the 3rd step of our checkout) must match the bank's records as closely as possible.

And in terms of any charges you see on your statement? These are just 'pending' records of an attempt to complete a purchase. A pre-authorisation. The funds were never 'captured' by a successful order in the case of a failed checkout so will vanish shortly (usually overnight).


If you try again, best bet is just to double-check the billing address name and details and, if that's not it and our credit card payment handlers are just being annoying and rubbish? We do have a whole heap of other payment options like Paypal, Amazon Pay, Google Pay...even Klarna Pay Later! Hopefully one of those will do the trick!!
